Privacy Policy

Effective April 2026 Last updated April 2026 DLT Holdings LLC

This Privacy Policy describes how DLT Holdings LLC ("DLT Holdings", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the LearnForge service ("Service"). It applies to learnforge.academy and the LearnForge Proxy at proxy.learnforge.academy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account and Subscription Information

When you purchase a LearnForge subscription, we collect:

  • Your organization's Moodle-based Learning Management System ("LMS") URL
  • The email address used for your Stripe purchase (your billing contact)
  • Your selected subscription plan and Spark balance
  • Transaction identifiers (Stripe subscription ID, payment IDs)

We do not store your credit card number, expiry date, or CVV. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. See Section 4.

1.2 Usage Data

The LearnForge Proxy logs:

  • API requests made from your LMS (type of request, timestamp, Spark cost)
  • Spark balance and transaction history
  • Subscription status and plan changes

This data is used to operate the Service, enforce subscription limits, and calculate Spark consumption.

1.3 Communication Data

If you contact us for support or other inquiries, we retain the content of that correspondence and your contact details.

1.4 Website Data

learnforge.academy uses standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer) for security and analytics purposes. We do not use advertising trackers or sell website visitor data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provision and manage your subscription
  • Process payments via Stripe
  • Deliver the LearnForge Proxy service (AI generation, Spark tracking)
  • Send transactional emails (purchase confirmation, renewal reminders, upgrade notifications)
  • Respond to support requests
  • Detect and prevent unauthorized access or abuse of the Service
  • Improve the Service using aggregated, anonymized usage patterns

We do not use your information for advertising purposes and do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Your Lesson Content

Lesson content you create using LearnForge — including text, narration audio, images, and lesson structure data — is stored on your own LMS. DLT Holdings does not store copies of your lesson content on our infrastructure.

AI generation requests (topic, audience, tone, content brief inputs) are transmitted to the LearnForge Proxy to process your generation. These inputs are not retained for longer than 24 hours after the generation is complete and are not used for any purpose other than fulfilling your request.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited data with the following third-party providers as necessary to operate the Service:

Provider Purpose Data Shared
Stripe, Inc. Payment processing Billing email, subscription details
ElevenLabs AI audio narration Lesson narration text (per generation request)
Black Forest Labs (bfl.ai) AI image generation Image prompt text (per generation request)
Anthropic AI lesson content generation Topic, audience, tone, and content brief inputs
Resend Transactional email Billing email address, subscription event data
Cloudflare Proxy hosting and DNS Site URL, API traffic

Each provider's use of data is governed by their own privacy policies and, where applicable, our data processing agreements with them.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your subscription and usage data is stored in a secured database on a virtual private server hosted in the United States. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure, including:

  • TLS encryption for all data in transit
  • Access controls restricting database access to authorized processes only
  • Regular server security updates

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and subscription data for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter (typically 3 years) for legal, tax, and dispute resolution purposes. Usage logs are retained for 12 months. If you request deletion of your data, we will delete or anonymize it within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.

7. Your Rights

7.1 All Customers

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Object to processing of your data for certain purposes

To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@learnforge.academy.

7.2 EU and UK Customers (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR:

  • Legal basis for processing. We process your data on the basis of contract performance (to deliver the Service you purchased), legitimate interests (service security, fraud prevention, service improvement), and legal obligation (tax and financial record-keeping).
  • Right to restrict processing. You may request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to lodge a complaint. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g., your EU Member State's supervisory authority, or the UK Information Commissioner's Office).
  • International transfers. Your data is processed in the United States. DLT Holdings relies on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms where required under GDPR for transfers from the EEA or UK to the US.

8. Cookies

learnforge.academy uses minimal cookies necessary for site operation. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The Stripe Checkout flow may set cookies governed by Stripe's own cookie policy.

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us at legal@learnforge.academy and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. The updated policy will be posted at learnforge.academy/privacy with the revised effective date.
